The Japan Society of Fairfield County hosted their annual event in Westport. The “Bon Odori” which is based on festivals that honor the memory of loved ones. The day featured Taiko drumming, additional music, and numerous dances.  A visiting representative of the Japanese Consulate noted the anniversary of the end of World War 2 and offered his condolences to all killed in the conflict, but also noted wisely “Today, we dance together.” Below is a playlist of music videos and a few photos.
